“I’m living proof that Rotterdam University gives you a fantastic foundation in law. Graduating in 2005 with a Masters in Criminal Law and in 2006 with a Masters in Corporate Law, I joined Linklaters soon after. It’s been everything I hoped it would be and I’m gaining immense career satisfaction from knowing I’ve found the best possible home for my skills.
I found out about Linklaters while I was still studying. In between sampling beers at the fraternity and ‘Hyper Hyper’, I was secretary for the European Law Student Association. I organised drinks evenings, helped overseas students settle in, and planned various trips to law firms. I read about Linklaters on the internet – the firm was growing incredibly quickly and I saw the opportunities straight away. I met some people from the Linklaters team at a student event and it was great – everyone was really enthusiastic, but incredibly down to earth and honest about what they expected from you. They didn’t just talk about law, they wanted to get to know me as an individual. It’s that kind of personal touch that convinced me to apply.
